How online ordering works on Nayo

From browsing the menu to the moment your order is delivered—here is the full path for customers and for staff using Nayo Dashboard (cashier).

For you as a customer

These steps happen on nayo.rw (or the venue’s menu link)—no guesswork.

  1. 1

    View the menu

Open a venue’s profile or scan their QR menu, then browse categories, prices, and options on your phone.

  2. 2

    Add items to your cart

Choose dishes, sizes, and notes; your cart holds everything until you are ready to check out.

  3. 3

    Place the order

Submit the order so the venue receives it as a new online order in Nayo Dashboard (cashier view).

  4. 4

Follow along until it is delivered

Use your order status page to see updates in real time. When the venue changes the order— for example into in progress or delivering—you get an email and the same status appears on your order view.

At the venue (Nayo Dashboard · cashier)

When a guest places an order online, your team picks it up in the dashboard and drives the kitchen—or prepares without sending to kitchen when that fits your operation.

  • New online orders show up for cashier (or front-of-house) staff in Nayo Dashboard.
  • Staff review the order and confirm it, sending it to the kitchen when you use a kitchen workflow, or preparing it directly when you do not route through kitchen.
  • Once confirmed and preparation starts, the order moves to Processing (in progress) so guests see that their meal is being made.
  • Guests are notified by email on key status changes and always see the current step on their order page until the run is complete.
  • Before marking Delivering (order on the way or ready for pickup), payment is confirmed in the dashboard so fulfillment and payment stay in sync.

Status updates you can follow

After you place an order, your order page updates as the venue progresses. You also get email notifications when the status changes (for example when the venue starts preparing your order).

Pending

The venue has received your order and has not accepted it yet. Your order page shows this until staff confirm.

Confirmed

The cashier has accepted the order and routed it (for example to the kitchen) or started prep in-house.

In process

Shown as Processing in the system: the kitchen or bar is preparing your items. Your order view updates here while you wait.

Delivering

The order is on its way to you or ready for counter pickup—only after payment has been confirmed on the venue side.

Delivered

The order is complete and has reached you (or been handed off) successfully.

Payment before delivering

Moving an order to Delivering (on its way to you or ready for handoff) should only happen after payment has been confirmed in Nayo Dashboard. That keeps your bill and the venue’s records aligned before food leaves the pass or goes out for delivery.
